‘Voices From The ‘Hood’ was a participatory photography project commissioned by the Gloucester Neighbourhood Renewal Team to support a bid for urban renewal funding for the redevelopment of a deprived suburb of Gloucester.
Young people from Tredworth, Barton and White City produced images and captions expressing their feeelings about their community and sat for formal portraits.
The resulting work helped illuminate key issues and gave otherwise marginalised young people a voice in the process of urban renewal.
