kimmer and the magpie

A commission for the Wirksworth Festival to creatively document the Middle-Peak quarry conveyor shortly before it's demolition.

The conveyor, built in the 1950's to transport limestone to a nearby railway depot, dominated the local skyline until it's sudden demolition in the space of a few weeks in June 2005.

Exhibited as part of the 2005 Wirksworth Festival. Now held in the festival collection.
