Hillside Estate, North Huyton
After a number of years in decline, Hillside, along with other nearby estates, was included in a major redevelopment programme which began in 2004. This involved the decanting of residents, clearance and rebuilding. Repeated delays in the programme resulted in partial clearance and dereliction alongside newly built properties often occupied by incomers.

In the autumn of 2007 workshops were undertaken with members of the Hillywood After School Group, the Hillywood Youth Club and former Hillside residents at the Mardale Road Pensioners Group.
Disposable cameras were provided and participants documented their environment before editing and captioning their results in further workshops at the local community centre.
