Inner Light (2001)
A light installation for the Crescent, Buxton in which, for a number of hours each night, rooms within the building are randomly illuminated with intensely coloured light to reveal both the former grandeur and current decay of the Crescent and bring to life this dark corner of the town during the depths of winter.
Inner Light was a self-initiated project produced on a limited budget and funded by the Buxton Festival Fringe, with support from the Old Hall Hotel and Derbyshire County Council.
Thanks to John Wilson for his help in sourcing funding, obtaining permissions and installing the work.
