exploring cosmos
A commission for Nottingham Trent University to creatively document the 'Cosmos' project, a research led arts and science collaboration between Nottingham Trent University and Dragon Breath Theatre. The project explored the teaching of science and basic astronomy to early years learners through storytelling, puppetry, dance, multimedia and performance. 18 months of research and development culminated in a series of participatory performances at Nottingham Trent University’s Waverley Studio Theatre and Curve, Leicester.
Cosmos was written by Peter Rumney and directed by Adel Al-Salloum. The project was commissioned by Curve for The Spark Children's Festival 2009, International Year of Astronomy, and National Science and Engineering Week 2009.
