nine walks
Work produced on a series of urban and rural walks undertaken with the Media Arts Walking Research Group at Sheffield Hallam University.
The walks provided both a formal structure and a creative time and space within which instinct and intuition could freely operate. Themes, subjects and relationships suggested themselves during the walks or while editing and sequencing images.
The results are part mapping, part an exploration of location and part an expression of an interior narrative.
This work contributes to an ongoing enquiry into the journey as a creative, conceptual and contemplative strategy for the production of photography.
